Finishing a Dissertation in Just 30 Days isn’t a Dream Anymore

Dissertation

It is an irrefutable fact that producing a mind-blowing dissertation is not everyone’s cup of tea. A dissertation can be the most daunting task a student can ever face. To some, this assignment seems like a bottomless pit of miseries that plunges its victims (student) when they get near it.

Regardless, your advisor will not be that lenient to leave you off the hook just because the assignment seems intimidating to you. Remember that your degree is at risk here so if you don’t produce a comprehensive and informative literary piece, you’ll not be able to complete your degree.

Nonetheless, writing this lengthy paper doesn’t need to be difficult. Believe me with just the right guidance you can even complete it within a month only. Sounds pretty much impossible? No, it isn’t.

Given that a dissertation doesn’t only involve extensive writing but research as well, you’ll need to spend your first 7 days to carry out a detailed research on your research question and outline the key points or arguments that’ll be addressed in the paper. Once it is done, proceed to the written work of this paper using the following guideline.

Day 1 – Day 7

Perform topic research and sketch a detailed outline.

Day 8 – Get Familiar with the Writing Style & Format the Paper Accordingly

Review the guidelines provided by your dissertation advisor and see which standard writing style is required. Search the style guide for the format on the internet and get acquainted with it. Once you get a good grasp on using the standard formatting and citation style, format your writing sheet likewise.

Day 9 – Develop a Good Title Page

As the name suggests, this page informs the readers what your dissertation is about. So, generally it includes main title of the literary piece, name of author, name of advisor, name of academic institute and date of publication.

Day 10 – State the Main Research Question

The research question is the thesis statement that must be approved by the panel through the proposal. Basically, it states the problem that is main focus of your research and analysis. Keep in mind that it should be sound enough to cover ample arguments or debate to present a well-researched work.

Day 11 – Compile Germane Sources

Skim through the text-books, journals and electronic databases to extract valid sources that’ll help you reinforce your arguments or comments in the dissertation. Make sure that each reference or source is saved accurately so that you can cite it correctly later.

Day 12 – Create the Citation Page

In this page, you’ll be required to format the sources as per the guidelines of the style guide assigned to you. Make sure that each source is cited in a separately, i.e., in a new paragraph.

Day 15 – Present the Introduction

As the name implies, it’ll give the reader brief but not too specific introduction of the problems or arguments that’ll be center of attention of your dissertation. Keep in mind that the length of this page varies according to the extent and scope of your work.

Day 16 – State Research’s Background

To let the audience understand your debate effectively and grasp the points in the manner so desire, it is important that a background of the research should be provided. Hence, tell the readers the significance of your topic and its scope.

Day 17 – State Research Goals

Present the primary and secondary goals of your research in a brief and succinct manner.

Day 22 – Time to Write the Methodology Chapter

Methodology is the most comprehensive section of the dissertation covering almost 30% of the contents. It usually presents the details about the methods used in the research process. It may include what tools are used, which literatures were reviewed and how data mining is carried out.

Day 23 – State the Results of Your Work

This chapter simply presents the data resulted from the methodology you’ve conducted earlier. It tells the audience what details are exploited through the research. Keep in mind the resulted data can be presented in any form: graph, illustrations, etc.

Day 24 – Finally, the Conclusion

As it can be told by its name, the chapter signifies the deductions extracted from the results that relate to the research question. Based on the outcome of the research, the results either approve or disapprove your hypothesis.

Day 25 – Create Abstract

Though the chapter is presented before the introduction but due to its nature it is written once all the above chapters are finished. This section provides a précis that covers all the contents of the dissertation.
