As part of strengthening the scientific partnership Ivorian-Switzerland, a project of scholarships to the attention Swiss researchers wishing to conduct research Ivory Coast has been entrusted to the Centre Suisse de Recherches Scientists in Côte d’Ivoire (CSRS). The project planned for a period of two years is funded from the unexpended balances of the former FISDES (Ivorian-Swiss Fund for Economic Development and Social) hosted the United Nations for Development Programme (UNDP)

Scholarship Types

As part of this call for applications, two types of Scholarships will be awarded: (I) Exploratory Grants in Ivory Coast with a duration maximum of 15 days for a budget of up to 8 250 CHF. (Ii) Grants for Collaborative Research in Ivory Coast a maximum of 45 days for a maximum budget of 23 263 CHF

Scholarship Objectives

The project will focus around three main objectives:

1.  Contribute to strengthening the scientific cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Switzerland;
2. Identify and diversify the research themes that are able to generate a scientific and economic value both for the two countries that for the West African sub-region;
3.  Increase the contribution of Swiss research projects / research programs underway in Cote d’Ivoire

Scholarship Proceedings

• Applications received before February 20, 2012 will be reviewed in March 2012;

• Applications received between February 20 and June 20, 2012 will be reviewed July 2012;

• Applications received between 20 June 2012 and September 20, 2012 will be exam- mined in October 2012;

• Applications received between 20 September 2012 and February 20, 2013 will reviewed in March 2013.

The shortlist will be available after each session on the Site www.csrs.ch / boursesdepartenariat.php and each competitor will receive a notification- cation to the address on file. NB: The winners will make their stay in Ivory Coast within three (3) months following the announcement of results
